There are those among us who still remember the days when the Christmas season was a time when neighbors visited neighbors and holiday carolers filled the street with joyous song.

Times have changed and although the progress of technology and changing attitudes tend to isolate us from our neighbors and filter out song along with the noise of traffic, there is one place to find it all again – Church Street Christmas.

Church Street Christmas celebrates 30 years of being a Dade City holiday tradition this December 21st through 23rd.

For three decades, the historic street made of brick pavers has been closed off for the three evenings prior to Christmas Eve to allow visitors to come and experience an old-fashioned yuletide celebration where the pace slows down if only for a couple hours each night.

As you walk down Church Street Christmas between lighted luminaries, you will see beautifully-decorated homes and gigantic Christmas cards displaying cheerful holiday greetings.

At several spots along the way there is live entertainment from local singers, to jazz bands, to stringed trios. As the sounds of one group grow silent, the sounds of another gets stronger. Strolling Dicken’s carolers may also be found adding an air of authenticity to the event.

To top off the experience, complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and cider await your visit as yuletide refreshment.

We'd like to invite you to take part in two events that are being held this year to support Church Street Christmas. Your participation in our first Church Street Christmas Golf Tournament and/or Church Street Christmas Dinner/Concert will help bring the gift of Church Street Christmas to more than 30,000 guests and enable these magical evenings to continue to be free to all who love Christmas. Valerie Gillespie - Renowned Jazz Artist
Valerie Gillespie will be the featured entertainer at the Church Street Christmas Golf Tournament Dinner and concert. A jazz musician with a master’s degree in jazz saxophone from the University of South Florida, Gillespie picked up her first sax at the tender age of eight years old and played her first professional gig at 14.All grown up now, Gillespie has played with Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, Rosemary Clooney, George Burns, Ben Vereen, Joan Rivers, Ray Charles, Jon Faddis, Steve Allen, Anthony Newly and has traveled with the Xavier Cugat Orchestra.She has also brought her talents to Church Street Christmas for the past two years.
